The Zebra DS2278 is a handheld wireless barcode scanner designed for general retail, office and point-of-sale scanning applications. It supports both 1D and 2D barcode reading, allowing it to scan standard linear barcodes as well as QR codes, DataMatrix, PDF417 and other commonly used 2D symbologies. The scanner connects through USB and supports Bluetooth wireless communication for flexible use at the checkout counter or workstation.
The DS2278 Series also provides a cost-effective upgrade path for users currently using Zebra LS2208 scanners, as it can use the same universal cables from the DS2200 Series. This helps reduce upgrade costs when moving from 1D scanning to a 1D/2D imager solution, while keeping compatibility with many existing Zebra accessories.
